NSZK IV Enschede

It's almost here, the grande finale, namely NSZK IV in the ôôôsten! The committee looks forward to welcoming you on June 3 at the outdoor pool for hopefully a nice summer weekend of competition. Below

some more info about the weekend:

 

Pre drinks

The pre drinks will be held on Friday, June 2 on our beautiful terrace of the Outside Pool Twente (Campuslaan 100, 7522 NR Enschede) from 21:00 to 24:00, where the Enschedes Student

Championship Cannonballing will take place! This is a competition for who has the biggest splash and the

most beautiful and original jump off the springboard. Afterwards, we will continue partying in the Vestigingbar (De Hems 10, 7522 NL Enschede) around the corner. Sleeping places at members' homes will be arranged.

 

Contest

Saturday, June 3rd is the day! The battle erupts in our beautiful UT outdoor pool

(Promenade 1, 7522 NB Enschede). For now, swimmers can enter the terrain at 11:30 via

the entrance at the UTrack/sintelbaan and find their spot. Keep in mind that we only have 2 changing

rooms so it will be very crowded. Of course you can also change on the grass itself. Warming up will be possible from 12:15 to 12:45. The competition will be held in a 25m outdoor pool and will start at 13:00. Make sure you are well prepared for any type of weather, unfortunately it is not controllable ;). Bring sunscreen in case of nice weather, warm clothes if it is cold and rain gear and dry clothes in case of rain. In case of bad weather, the organization does everything possible to arrange party tents etc., but above all be inventive and bring something yourself in case of bad weather! Camping chairs, for example, are also very practical. A room will be made available to store your overnight gear during the competition. 

 

During the day there will already be a tap, where you can pay with coins only. There will be Piranha tokens that can be purchased both at the outdoor pool (during the day) and at the party location. At the outdoor pool it is not allowed to have canned drinks, so do not bring this! We will have a kiosk where you can get a drink at a decent price. A water bottle or a bottle of water is of course allowed.

Alcohol may only be consumed after your last NSZK distance. This will be regulated with bands.

 

Food + party

After the swimming we will have a delicious pizza dinner! Food preferences can be indicated in the forms. Dining coupons will be in the swimco bags. Dining shifts will be announced later. After everyone finishes their food, we can get ready and it's time to party at the Audentis society on the Oude Markt (Oude Markt 24, 7511 GB Enschede). The party will start at 22:00 and will last until 4:00. The doors will close at 23:00. There is an unattended wardrobe at the location. Tokens purchased during the day will also be valid here. The party is only accessible with a band, which will be in the swimco bags. Also, don't forget to bring a valid ID! Please note, at the pub, no stickers, smoking (or vapes) are allowedand and no throwing beer! This is your own responsibility.

Note! Enschede and Hengelo have few public transport bikes and it is quite a bit from the city back to campus (5km). So check out options in advance for the way back from the party. For example, arrange cabs in groups. You can also always take a nice walk.

Sleeping places

Sleeping places will be arranged at members' homes for the night from Friday to Saturday. Those who are already staying then can also stay at this location from Saturday to Sunday. For the vast majority, it will be cozy camping! This will be at the Verre Veld (Matenweg 18, 7522 NB Enschede), right next to the swimming pool. You will have to arrange your own tents. From Saturday 17:00 the tents can be set up. Furthermore, breakfast will be provided and at 09:00 the campsite must be empty. There will also be the possibility to take a shower on Sunday in the Sports Center (De Hems 20, 7522 NL Enschede). The camping field must be left tidy, so make sure you clean up your own trash!

NOTE! If you are sleeping at the camping place, you have to arrange your own tent!
